Mangalore, Apr 7: DK district congress committee president in-charge Ibrahim Kodijal said that BJP leader Rukmaiah Poojary has made a false statement that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Mangalore was low turnout.

Speaking at the press meet held at Congress Election Office on April 7, Monday, he said that he has filed a complaint in this regard with the Election Commission alleging that he had violated the election code of conduct.

He also said that BJP leaders are trying to mislead the people and voters with the false statements, but such kind statements will not benefit the voters or party. However this report was published in few newspapers and this will mislead the voters in the district.

Kodijal said that Rukmaiah Poojary had also shown the photographs of turnout for BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s rally and fewer numbers for Rahul Gandhi’s rally, which is misleading facts.
