Mangalore, Mar 15: BJP leader and MLC Monappa Bhandary said in order to affect the BJP election campaign, the congress along with the police department, have misused the power and have listed as many as 300 Hindu activists under rowdy sheeters.
Speaking at the press meet held at Sanghaniketan on March 15, Saturday, he said that Congress in the district is trying to pressurize to apply influence on police department to have their work done and district BJP strongly condemn such an act.
MLC also said that imposing the rowdy sheeter charges on the Hindu activist is wrong, since the members of the Hindu organizations have always tried to fight against anti-social elements and stood away from unlawful activity.
He also said that sitting MP and BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel will file his nomination as DK candidate on March 20.
BJP leaders Kishore Rai, Diwaker Samani, Sanjeeva Matandoor and others were present.
