Udupi; Feb 01: By returning the lost jewelry, which was found lying outside Harsha shopping centre to the family, Harsha Company could boast itself for displaying its extra-ordinary honesty.
It is said that M.H.Hammabba from Padubidri went to Udupi along with his family for shopping on Jan 29 and visited many places. At the same time, they visited Harsha shopping centre also.Duing this period, necklace weighing 8 Pawn worth Rs 2 lac worn by his niece was found lying outside Harsha shopping centre. Family could realize about that only after they reached home.
The lost jewelry was found on that day by Peter Vincent Purtado, security guard of Harsha shopping centre, who in turn handed over the same to Harsha Company. After reading the advertisement in the news paper about the same, company called the inheritor through phone and informed them about the matter.
On January 31, Friday, Benegal Nagappa Amin, assistant general manager of Harsha Company, handed over the jewelry to the heir Padubidri M.H.Hammabba. Security Guard Peter was suitably rewarded.
Jayaram, public relation manager of Harsha Company, Siddiq Hasan from Aakarshan Gold Company, Abdul Hameed, owner of Ujwal prints, Padubidri, Security Guard Peter were present on the occasion.
