Karkala; Feb 01: Speaking as chief guest in the 150th birth anniversary celebration programme of Swami Vivekananda, held at Karkala Bhuvanendra College, Dr.K.Raghavendra Rao, lecturer, Ganapati High School, Padubidri said in his address that the man, how intellectual he may be, what high qualified, he may be, there is no meaning in acquired knowledge and wealth, if there is no humility and obedience. The intellectuals, without obedience are equal to that of traitors, he said.
He spoke on the subject about Swami Vivekananda thoughts are still relevant. Swami Vivekananda has seen God in each atom of the soil. Though he was looking as an intellectual externally, from inside he had full of devotion and continued talking about his thoughts, it said.
S.R.Achar, president of college management committee, who presided over the programme has advised the students try to cultivate the habit of reading his life history and adopt some of his principles in the life.
Prof.Y.Panduranga Nayak, Principal of the college was present.Devidas Nayak, convener of study centre welcomed, secretaries like Kumari Chaitrasree proposed vote of thanks and Shankar Kudva compered the programme.
