Mangalore, April 9: Speaking to the media persons at the press meet held at Press Club on April 9,Tuesday,Sudarshan Shetty Permanki-President (JDS),Mangalore North said that as reported in some papers rumor of him about quitting the party is baseless and false.
He further said that some of the leaders who are against the candidature of Shetty had even convened a press meet in order to inform about the mass resignation of JDS leaders and they even gone to the extent of saying and made the propaganda that he(Permanki) along with Chief Secretary Hakeem Vamanjoor will also quit .
Permanki made it clear that whatever they said was unfortunate, untrue and false.
Besides, he also clarified that no members from the Mangalore (North) Constituency have resigned including himself and Hakeem so far. According to him confusion that had rocked the party recently has nothing to do with the Mangalore North Constituency or the party, he said.
Sudharshan Shetty also said that names of Dhanraj and Gulam Mohammed along with his name have been recommended to the state Chief HD Kumaraswamy for the Mangalore North constituency.
He further told that party workers will abide whatever the decision taken by the Party Chief’s (Leaders)
JDS leaders Hakeem Vamanjoor, Rafiq, Thyampanna Shetty and Rajeev Shetty were present in the press meet.
