Mangalore, July 30: The child and women trafficking has come under light at several times in the Dakshina Kannada District, hence to remove such problems,  concerned officials and self service groups  should maintain the equivalence among them, said Women and Child anti trafficking  committee president N. Prakash,  in the meet organised by district protection committee about protection of women and child trafficking, here on Tuesday.

Women and Child welfare department Deputy Director Gatrood Vegas informed the Deputy Commissioner and meet that from 1/4/12 to till today three women and three child concerned cases are solved, but one case is still pending which was filed FIR under` Moodabidri police and investigation is on.

‘In the birth certificate, others will mention their name to mother’s place. This is a kind of technique in the trafficking case,  said Child development projection officer.

In the response D C said that Child and Women welfare department officials, police and self service Institutions should keep an eye on such illegal issue and give the protection to the public.

Hilda Rayappa, Prajna institution and District child welfare committee president Aasha Nayak stressed that when rescued women and children brought to station,  police should file the FIR immediately.

Zilla Panchayat member Dhanalaxmi janardhan, district child protection officer Gracy Gonsalves were present.
