Sullia, July 27: A government bus and fuel tanker collided head-on and caused traffic problem for over an hour and a half at out skirt of Aramboor on Friday.
According the sources, the bus was on its way from Mysore to Mangalore and the tanker was on its way towards Madikeri in the time of collision. The front of the tanker got smashed and both driver and conductor were injured seriously. A crane had been used to get the driver, Sanjiva out from the tanker and he has been admitted to a hospital.
Bus driver Chandra, conductor Babu and some passengers of the bus named Dr Mohammed, Bhavya, Devaki and Dr Shrinivas sustained with minor injuries. Long lines of vehicles were seen on either side of the road and after one and half hour traffic became cleared.
