Mangaluru, December 3: Film actor Vinod Alva, was released from the district prison in the city on Wednesday December 2nd.
He was received by his family members who were waiting outside the prison.
On Tuesday, the fifth additional district and sessions court in Puttur had granted conditional bail to Vinod Alva . But it took time for preparation of papers for securing his release. Hence Alva could not be released on the same day.
Alva said, the allegation of murder attempt levelled against him has no substance and he would be placing all related facts before the media shortly.
The actor was arrested on November 16th, based on the complaint filed by a person named Sachidananda that an attempt to murder him was made by colliding a jeep against him at the instance of Vinod Alva.
