Women’s congress protests against anti-people policies of the central government.

Mangaluru, November 30: The women’s congress district unit staged a massive protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here on Monday, November 30th opposing the anti-people policies of the central government.

Addressing the protest, president of state congress women’s unit Laxmi Hebtalkar said, the people of the country are living in unity in diversity. But the central government that is administrating in the centre, by questioning the people about their costume and food habits, has created intolerance in the society. The government has failed in all the spheres, he said.

Minister U T Khader participated in the protest and said, the central government is following anti-people policies. Although it has not done any works that it had promised during the elections campaign, it has deceived the people through the advertisement, he said.

In the protest, MUDA Chairman Ibrahim Kodijal, Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty, MLC Ivon D’Souza, Divya Prabha, Mitun Rai, Mamata Gatti and others were present.
