Bantwal, November 30: A youth lost his hand in an accident between car and bike that took place in the centre of the road at Kavalapaduru on Bantwal- Beltangady National Highway.
The injured person is identified as Canwil, resident of Shakthinagar in Mangaluru.
It is gathered that, the car that was moving from Beltangady to Mangaluru, collided to the bike that came from the opposite side. In the accident, the right hand of Canwil got cut and suffered severe injuries on his leg.
Due to the severity of the accident, the driver of the car too suffered injuries. Both have been admitted to Thumbay private hospital. Canwil was later taken to a private hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment.
Bantwal traffic police have registered a case.
