Mangaluru, November 21: Felicitation program was organized to the children who dug up a 18-foot well in their village Daregudda, Moodbidri and also to Manohar Prabhu who represented India in swimming competition in Bangkok, at St. Aloysius Primary School in Mangaluru on Saturday, November 21st.
A group of children had recently dug a 18 foot well while playing at a spot in their village Daregudda, in Moodbidri.
The villagers were facing severe drinking water problem. Some among the group of children heard elders conversing that water would be available if a well was dug up in that spot. Following this, the children formed their team and dug the spot and were surprised to see the underground water springing out from the earth at a depth of about 18 feet.
