Every year job fair will be held in the district: Minister Ramanath Rai.

Mangaluru, November 12: Due to unemployment problem in the district, social harmony is affected; if the youth find good jobs, the harmony can be maintained. The job fair will be held every year in future, said district in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai.

He spoke in a meeting held with various institutions to discuss on ‘Mangaluru Udyoga Mela’ organized at Hotel Gateway in the city on Wednesday, November 12th. With an intension to provide good chances for the students who completed their studies the job fair would be held each year in the district, he said.

In the district, lakhs of students pass out from as many as 7 Medical Colleges, 18 Engineering Colleges, 5 Dental Colleges and other educational institutions and in order to provide additional facilities to them this job fair is organized, said Minister Rai.

Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim speaking on this occasion said, around 7,500 members have already registered their names through online and the institutions of the district too are participating in this job fair.  Already for the candidates who have registered their names, training has been provided through counselling last week. Counselling will be done in the next week also, he said.

Yenepoya University Chancellor Y Abdulla Kunji, Nitte University Chancellor Vinaya Hegde, A J Shetty of A J Hospital, job fair organizer Vivek Alva, ADC Kumar and others were present.
