Mangaluru, October 13: On the eve of Dasara celebrations, the Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Shrine is glimmering with beautiful decorative lights. Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Shrine which is the centre of attraction of Dasara Celebrations has been beautifully decorated with attractive lightings. It is very exciting to watch the colourful fountains situated in the temple premises. Lakhs of lights are situated on both sides of the streets in Mangaluru city, and the city appears colourful in night.

Now, Mangaluru Dasara is popular. The credit of raising this to the global level goes to Former Union Minister B Janardhan Poojary. By propagating the messages of Narayana Guru who preached equality, and by uniting all the people; the Mangaluru Dasara is grandly celebrated.

Mangaluru Dasara is being celebrated from the past twenty three years and to witness this, devotees arrive here from India and abroad. In the auditorium situated close to the shrine, the idols of Shree Sharada Maatha, Lord Ganapathi including all the idols of Navadurgas will be placed here, decorated beautifully and the rituals will be performed. Special arrangements are being made to watch this.

In the mantap, the beautifully decorated idols of Bramhacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmandini, Siddidatri, Mahagowri, Mahakali, Katyayini, Skanda Maata, Aadishakthi, and Shailaputri will be placed in a special manner and daily poojas will be performed to all the gods. For ten long days, the idols of Navadurgas and Sahrada Maatha will be placed in the same place and poojas will be offered to the deities. To watch this grand Dasara celebration, the people throng at this place.

Today (October 13th ), at 11am, the prathisthapan program of the idols of Navadurgas and Shree Sharada Maatha will take place and the celebrations will come to an end on October 23rd with grand procession.
