Mangaluru, September 18: Five men accused in recent incident of attempt to murder Lancy D’ Souza that took place near Chembugudde, have surrendered before the Court. They have been detained under judicial custody.
The accused youths are Deekshith (27) from Thokkottu, Vivek (26) from Someshwara, Sujan (25) from Mogaveerapatna, Rathan (22) from Adyarupadavu, and Pavan (19) from Kapikad.
Incident Details: Lancy D’Souza, who was returning home after day’s work on his scooter, was followed by some youths in a Swift car. Later the car was intentionally collided to the scooter. The group had attempted to murder Lancy D’Souza using sharp weapons.
The main accused in the incident, have remained elusive. It is said, the murder attempt was done as an act of revenge against the murder of Yathish Poojary- leader of Hindu Jagarana Vedike.
