Mangaluru, September 18: The grand inauguration of twelfth year celebrations of public Shree Ganeshotsava organized by the Shree Siddivinayaka Pratistana took place on Thursday, September 17th at Bunts Hostel with great devotion.
The celebrations began from 9.15 am with the flag hoisting ceremony. The newly grown paddy stalk (Tene) was distributed among the gathered and Mahaprasad was distributed the devotees after the pooja at 12pm.
Former dean of AB Shetty Dental College Dr N Shreedhar Shetty and Padmanayana S Shetty couple inaugurated the celebrations.
Brigadier Chandrashekar and Nachha Bharathi Shetty couple hoisted the flag.
Retired Chancellor of Mangaluru University, I Chikkappa Rai and Shankari C Rai couple formally distributed the new paddy stalks (Tene) to Senior Lawyer Sitaram Shetty and inaugurated the new paddy stalks distribution event. IC Rai congratulated the organizers for systematically organizing the event with great devotion since twelve years.
During the event audio release of ‘Shooranigolida Shaneeshwara’ by Haridas Sharath Shetty was released by the guests.
Nachha Bharati C Shetty, Padmanayana S Shetty and Shankar C Rai were the guests. President of Shree Ganeshotsava Samithi C A Shantarama Shetty, trustees of the foundation Raviraj Shetty Nitteguttu, secretary Divakar Saamaani Chelaraguttu, Treasurer of Matrusangha K Manmohan Shetty, convener of Talents Research Foundation Dr Asha Jyothi Rai and others were present.
Administrative trustee of Shree Siddivinayaka Pratistana Ajith Kumar Rai Maalaadi welcomed the program while Meena R Shetty thanked.
The public Shree Ganeshotsav celebrations will be grandly celebrated from September 17th to 19th. As part of the program several cultural programmes are also being organized.
On September 19th after the pooja, the idol of Lord Ganesh will be carried on a grand procession and later released in the pond at Shree Mahamaye Temple.
