New Delhi, Aug 31: Supreme Court has denied permission to Pramod Muthalik leader of Sri Rama Sene to enter Goa over concerns expressed by the police.

The Supreme Court has banned him from entering Goa for a time span of six months.

Muthalik had challenged the high court ban saying it was orchestrated by an invisible hand operating from Goa or New Delhi. He said that repeated prohibitory orders since last year violated his fundamental rights as he wanted to visit the BJP-ruled state for religious purposes.

Pramod Muthalik the 52-year-old activist was in headlines after his men were seen dragging women out of a pub, slapping and abusing them in 2009. This act had witnessed nationwide anger.
