Mangaluru, July 24: The Suratkal police have arrested a man who sexually assaulted a minor daughter of his owner under whom he was employed.
The accused is Suresh from Ramanagara.
The victim girls father, a resident near Chelaru railway bridge who hails from Ramanagara; has filed a complaint with the police.
The girl’s father undertakes the contract works of fitting interlocks. The girl’s father had employed accused Suresh as a writer. While the girl’s father visited the construction sites, the accused used to stay at their home.
Making use of the time, the accused had sexually assaulted the minor girl since the past three months after which she had conceived. Later the accused had absconded.
Suratkal Police Inspector Cheluvaraj and staff arrested the accused from near Haleangady and produced him in the court.
A case has been registered in Suratkal Police station.
