Mangaluru, July 21: It has been reported that the team led by Mangalore City Corporation health officer Dr Manjaiah Shetty conducted a raid and locked an organic food store named Satvam Organic near jail road in the city on Monday, July 20th.
In this store where there are lots of food items, insecticides were sprayed to kill the cockroaches after which huge numbers of dead cockroaches were seen fallen around the store. The publics had given a complaint against this to the MCC health officer.
It is learnt that the health officer who had been for inspection to the store was shocked to see the huge number of dead cockroaches there. The officer has directed the owner to close the shop and also issued notice as they failed to concentrate on cleanliness.
It is gathered that using another key, the store was opened in the evening and items were sold to the customers. In this regard, the officials once again raided the store, locked it and have taken appropriate actions.
