Byndoor police rescue nineteen buffaloes transported illegally, accused escape.

Kundapur, July 15: The Byndoor police have raided a lorry and rescued nineteen Buffaloes which were being illegally transported in an in-humane manner. The lorry was raided on Wednesday morning, July 15th, near petrol bunk in Navunda, Byndoor.

Accused Jaleel and his accomplices have escaped from the spot.

It is gathered that at around 5 am on Wednesday, nineteen buffaloes were being transported in a lorry to Kerala from the house of Jaleel which is situated near the petrol bunk in Navunda. The Byndoor police acting on reliable information raided the lorry and rescued the buffaloes valued at about Rs 8lakhs. The buffaloes were then brought to the police station and fed with fodder and water.

The accused who saw the police, fled from the spot as it was dark.

The lorry has been seized.

Police sources said that the buffaloes were being illegally transported to slaughter house in Kerala.

A case has been registered at Byndoor police station. Police are on a lookout for the accused.

Byndoor circle inspector Sudarshan and team participated in this raid operation.
