Brother murdered – Two accused arrested.

Mangaluru/Moodbidri, June 20: Police have arrested two brothers who had murdered their another brother who always quarrelled at home.

Dinesh Rao (35) was murdered at Kesanabettu in Kellaputhige village under Dharegudde gram panchayat on the night of Wednesday, June 17th.

The accused brothers identified as Jagdish Rao (30) and Suresh Rao (42) have been arrested.

Suresh Rao resides at Kellaputhige and owns a shop and plantation there. Jagdish Rao is employed as a priest at Kukke Subramanya temple.

Deceased Dinesh Rao worked as a mechanic at Karkala. Dinesh Rao was a alcoholic addict who used to quarrel daily at home, it is said.

On Wednesday night, fight erupted among them over a petty issue. During the fight Jagdish Rao hit Dinesh Rao on his head with an iron rod. Dinesh Rao collapsed down in unconscious state and died. The duo brothers assured he household that they would take Dinesh Rao to the hospital. But, the duo carried the body and threw it into a pond close to the house.

On Thursday, the public’s who witnessed the body floating in the pond conveyed the information to the police.

Moodbdri circle inspector Ananthapadmanabha visited the spot and investigated. During investigations, the two brothers confessed that they had committed the murder together.

Deceased Dinesh Rao is a bachelor.

Police have presented the accused before the court.
