Mangaluru, June 6: The annual placement drive “Alva’s Pragathi-2015” is scheduled to be organized by the Alva’s Education Foundation, at Vidyagiri campus in Moodbidri on June 20th and 21st, informed Dr Mohan Alva- the Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, June 6th; he said, at the placement drive of this year, over 250 companies are expected to arrive such as IBM, TCS, TechMahindra, Oracle, Wipro, Ernst & Young, Amazon, Biocon, Adani Group, Flipkart, Godrej, Titan, ITC, Taj Group, ICICI Bank, TVS, AllCargo, Axis Bank Himalaya, Idea and others. Nearly 200 companies have confirmed about their arrival and the number is expected to reach 250 in the coming few days. Around 15 to 20 thousand job aspirants are expected to participate in this placement drive, he said.
He also added that more opportunities are available for BSc and BCA candidates, nursing graduates, pharmaceutical students and ITI students. The placement drive aims at providing job opportunity for the youth from rural areas, he said.
