Mangaluru, June 6: The police have arrested Dhanu, a prime accused in the murder case of Ranjith (21) which took place on June 3rd, near taluk panchayat office here.
Deceased Ranjith (21) from Ullal Mogaveerapatna was chased and murdered near taluk panchayat office here.
It is learnt that Dhanu was a close friend of Ranjith. The police have learnt that a few others were also involved with this murder including Dhanu. Efforts are on to trace them.
Ranjith, who had been stabbed, ran for life, and had died near the taluk panchayat canteen here. When Ranjith had collapsed, a person had approached him, questioned about the attackers and recorded his response in a mobile phone.
It is gathered that, seriously injured Ranjith had revealed then that a man named Dhanu from Kandak had attacked him with a knife.
The recorded data was later collected by the cops.
