Mangaluru, June 2: The DK district co-operative milk producers association observed the “World Milk Day” at KMF dairy in Kulshekar here on Monday, June 1st.
On this occasion, MP Naleen Kumar Kateel inaugurated the Agro waste based steam machine.
Speaking on this occasion, he said the KMF has developed into a independent firm. Agriculture is our culture. There is a good link between the producers, sellers and the customers which enables the business to progress well. He said KMF has won the first place in the state in terms of Milk production.
DK district central co-operative bank president Dr M N Rajendrakumar inaugurated the meeting hall of the association.
The event was presided over by the president of district co-operative milk producers union- Raviraj Hegde.
Vidhan parishat member Captain Ganesh Karnik, Managing Director of Dakshina Kannada district co-operative milk producers association Dr B V Satyanarayana, the union’s executive board director K. Sitaram Rai and others were present.
Mayor Jacintha Alfred was felicitated and presented with the honour of best dealer of KMF.
For their best service, the milk distributing vehicle staffs Surendra, Kishan, and Vishwanatha were felicitated and presented with cash Rs 5,000 as reward.
