Mangalore, June 1: On behalf of Dakshina Kannada district journalists association ‘Pa Go award ‘ceremony was held at Pathrika Bhavan on June 1, Saturday.
Mohammed Arief Padubidri, reporter of Vijaya Karnataka has been honored and felicitated at the glittering ceremony and PA Go award was conferred on him on this occasion by senior journalist Chidambar Baikampady.
Smt Savithri Gopalakrishna was the chief Guest.
Mohammed Arief’s “Napkin Ghatakada Yashodhagaathe”, which was published on June 12, 2012 in Vijayakarnataka, was selected for this prestigious award.
The award comprises of cash Ra 5001/,a citation and a memento and cash has been sponsored by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr.D Veerendra Heggade as informed by Harish Rai,President,DK district’s journalists association.Srinivs,Secretary conducted the programme and Ramakrishna R,President,Press club,Thukarama Poojary,columnist&judge in the panel and amongst others were present.
After receiving the award Mohammed Arief has thanked all his colleagues for their support,family members for their blessings and Almighty for his grace to make this happen.
