Mangaluru, January 31st: The National Level Youth Fest “Design Fiesta – 2015” was organized at Karavali Institute of Technology, at Neermarga in the outskirts of Mangaluru, in collaboration with departments of Interior Design and Fashion Design in Karavali College and department of MBA at Karavali Institute of Technology on Saturday, January 31st.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, inaugurated the event and said, such programs hep the students to exhibit their hidden talent. He lauded the institution for organizing such programs which are helpful in bringing out the talents of students. He wished well to the students and said, enormous chances are available in all the fields today and the youth have to become stars that bring fame to the country by their enormous talents.
S Ganesh Rao, Founder- Chairman of GR Education Trust and Management Board of Karavali Group of Colleges presided over the ceremony. Lata G Rao, Director of the college was the chief guest.
Principals of the different departments of the college, Professor Sadashivaiah, Professor Narayana Swami, Professor Mohan, Professor Anand and others were present on the dais.
Deepika welcomed the gathering, Shruthi compeered the program, Reshma presented the vote of thanks.
Competitions were held on the topics such as Fashion Show, folk dance, photography, Clay Modelling, Model Making, Flower Arrangement, Accessory Making, Face Painting, Mad Add, Treasure Hunt and other topics.
As part of the fest, awesome fashion show was exhibited by the students of the department of Fashion Design in Karavali College. In exciting fashion show, students wore the dresses designed by them and walked on the ramp to display their talents. On this occasion, the interior model and painting displayed by the students of Department of Interior Design in Karavali College was appreciated by all.
Over 500 students from all over the country, who represented nearly 20 colleges belonging to different states participated in the competition.
Valedictory ceremony:
In the Valedictory ceremony which will take place in the evening, the winners of the competitions will be felicitated with cash prize, trophy, and citation.
