“Yuva-Parivarthan” program organised in Mangaluru.

Mangaluru, January 5: A two-day inter-college cultural show “Yuva-Parivarthan”, was organized by Srinivas Group of College at the campus in vulachil- outskirts of the city on Saturday, January 3rd.

A fashion show was also organized as part of the event. The event was judged by Miss Asia Workd – 2013 Srishti Rana. Prashasthi K R from Srinivas College of engineering was crowned as Campus Princess 2015 and runner up was won by Prarthana Subramani from Beasant College.

Minister B. Ramanath Rai, MLA J R Lobo and Jayaram Bhat MD of Karnataka Bank had paid a prior visit to the event.

During the event, president of A Shama Rao Foundation and Srinivas Group of Colleges, CA A Raghavendra Rao, Director – Vijayalakshmi R Rao, , Mitra S. Rao-Secretary, Padmini Kumar, Aditya, and trustees of the Foundation were present.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel delivering his talk on Sunday said, globally; India has given great contributions towards culture. Such kind of programmes can bring about a change among the youth which has begun from here today. Through the variety cultural extravaganza presented from different places of the country, we can have a glimpse of India as well as the worship of Bharathmatha, he said.

Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake delivering his talk said, in the entire world; our country possesses ample youth resource. This manpower has to be converted to the country’s resource by organising such ‘Yuva Parivarthan” programs.

A huge crowd of students flocked the campus and at least 16 varieties of competitions were organized over two days. The event culminated on Sunday.
