Udupi, November 25: Huge crowd of BJP members and activists of BJP Yuva Morcha protested against Home Minister K J George, a short while before his scheduled visit to Udupi on Tuesday November 25th.
K J George will arrive at Malpe to inaugurate the new building of the Coast Guard administrative office.
The protestors had assembled near the gate of Malpe port and showed black flags, rising slogans against the home minister.
The protest was organised by the activists of BJP Yuva Morcha. The protestors demanded the resignation of four ministers – K J George, Qamarul Islam, Mahadeva Prasad and Dinesh Gundu Rao over the land grab allegations.
The police intervened and seized the black flags and stopped the protestors. Nearly 20 – 30 protestors were arrested and taken away in police vans.
The police have tightened the security at the spot.
