If risking not getting into a chosen university or losing out on a dream job are not motivation enough for studying hard, then having your head turned into a pineapple certainly should be.
But this teenager’s poise and style changes this punishment into this season’s must have look.
In pictures that have gained 1,154,310 views already on imgur, Reddit user Hansel34 shows off his hair do in all its glory.
He explains the dye job was the result of a bet with his cousin on who could get the best grades, with the winner getting to do whatever they wanted with the loser’s hair.
Writing on Reddit, he said: “In the beginning of the school year as motivation for school/fitness, my cousin and I decided to have a GPA/pushup bet. She ended up getting a 4.0 across the board, which I wasn’t even close too [sic].”
The GPA or Grade Point Average helps determine what universities students will enter in the US and parts of Canada, and 4.0 is considered to be the best possible grades
But instead of being miserable at having yellow back and sides, shaved into diamonds, and a green tuft on top,Hansel34 was positively pleased with his new look.
He added: “Luckily she’s a pretty artistic and talented kind soul who IMO made my hair pretty cool[sic]!
“The winner could do whatever they wanted to the other persons hair, she definitely was pretty kind with it!”
