Mangalore, May 2: Speaking to the media reporters in the press meet held at congress election office on May 2, Thursday, Oomen Chandy, chief minister of Kerala said in his speech that victory for congress is guaranteed in the forthcoming assembly election in Karnataka. Because people in Karnataka have lost faith in BJP rule due to their internal- fighting, corruption and mining scam.
He further said that BJP has utterly failed in delivering the mandate of the Karnataka people and hence people are longing to bring change in the government. This is the need of the hour, he said. Therefore victory for Congress is assured, he added.
He further said Karnataka people want to have stable and secured government, which congress only can provide. That is why he appealed to the voters to cast their votes to all the congress candidates who are in the fray and bring the change.
When reporters questioned him about SDPI conflict he evaded his answer by saying that politics will not interfere in this issue and in Karnataka it does not have any prominancy, he said
Shani Mol, secretary, All India congress, Abdulla Kutty,Kerala,Kannur legislator, Ibrahim Kodijal,Ivan D’souza,P J Thomas, Suresh Ballal among others were present.
Thereafter he had gone to Bantwal to address the election rally on behalf of Ramanath Rai-congress candidate at Bantwal election office. He spoke about Rai’s personality, corruption free man and told the gathering that he used to attend all the functions being organized in Kerala and took personal interest for the success on so many occasions.
Therefore he appealed to all the congress workers to work hard for the victory of Ramanath Rai and he is optimistic about the victory of’ Rai’ in the ensuing assembly election. Definitely he will be paid his appropriate result for his hard work in the ensuing assembly election, he added.
