Fr K.J. Thomas murder case: Bangalore’s AKCCK Sangha demands CBI probe

Mangaore, June 4: Fr K J Thomas murder case should be handed over to the CBI, urged Akhila Karnataka Catholic Christhara Kannada Sangha to the Chief Minister, Siddharamayya.

Rafael Raj, Sangha General Secretary kept this plea in front of media and other Govt officials at a press meet held in Mangalore on June 3. He alleged that clergy and Church Estate Committee President Ronald D’Souza are involved in the murder of Malleshwarm, Bangalore St. Peter Seminary Rector Fr K.J. Thomas, who was brutally murdered on March 31, last year.

It was alleged by Rafael Raj that in the following week of the murder of Fr K.J. Thomas, within St Peter’s Seminary premises there were several suspicious financial dealings taking place, these must be investigated thoroughly so that the real facts will be laid bare.

Meanwhile there was a demand for the land survey of St Peter’s Seminary and the investigations of personal accounts of Archbishop Rev. Bernard Moras, Rev. Ronald D’Souza, members of Estate committee and various office bearers belonging to St Peter’s Seminary.

Rafael Raj said that the arrest of innocent people like Fr William Patrick, Fr Elias and Peter was a deliberate attempt to cover up the case. He urged concerned authorities to release them and institute CBI probe into the case.
