Udupi, May 9: With the outcome of PUC results, Udupi district which has been known for high literacy rate has bagged second place in the state with the record of 85.57 percentages. Udupi District had recorded 89.01% in 2012 and 87.14% in 2013.
This time too, the Girl power in the district has brought laurels through the PU result. The PU topper Supriya Rao of Poornaprajna College, has scored 582 out of 600 recording 97%. Supriya is the proud daughter of Ganeh K R and Sudha Rao of Kukkikatte, Udupi, who has scored 100 in Mathematics, 98 in Physics, 99 in Chemistry, 97 in Computer Science, 97 in English and 92 in Hindi.
Another student of PPC College Neha B S from Science Stream has scored 565 out of 600 recording 94.16%. Neha has secured 99 in Mathematics, 98 in Physics, 94 in Chemistry, 96 in Statistics, 89 in English and 88 in Hindi.
Prateeksha Udupi, science student from MGM College has scored583 (97.16%), Mahalakshmi Kini T scored 579 (96.50%), Sanjana K of Arts stream has scored 526(87.66%) and Ramya Kamath 521(86.83%).
While from the commerce stream, Adithi Shetty of Vidyaniketan PU College, Kaup has scored 551 recording 91%.
