Bantwal, May 1: In connection with the vandalism of Brahmarakootlu toll plaza, the district crime intelligence bureau police have arrested a person from Madikeri and produced him before the judge of the court, after handing over to the local police.
The arrested has been identified as Abubakker (26), a resident of Apllamajalu.
It is learnt that, through the CCTV cameras, the police have succeeded in identifying over 25 people involved in vandalism of the toll plaza. They have been also conducting raid on some houses, to get the enquiries based on their features and appearance.
The police have been instructed by the state level officials to take all the legal steps against the miscreants, without bending to any pressure or recommendations.
The newly appointed circle inspector of Bantwal police station have conducted the meeting with the senior officials of town police station to identify and arrest the culprits and immediately take legal action against the culprit.
