Mangalore, Apr 29: A water tanker toppled after hitting an electric pole, injuring two persons near AJ Hospital on April 29, Tuesday.
It is learnt that the water tanker ‘Sri Ganesh Prasad’ was returning to Kadri after supplying water to Konchady, when it lost its control as the car moving front of it, applied sudden brakes.
The tanker driver who he realized there was a brake failure, took vehicle to the roadside to avoid accident, hit the electric pole before overturning.
During the incident, the driver Ranjith and his assistant Purushottam sustained injuries, while another youth Suraj present in the tanker was left unhurt.
The case has been registered at Kadri East Traffic Police Station.
