Kundapur , Apr 29: Re-polling for the Lok Sabha elections at booth No. 174 of Uppinakudru polling station is being held government model higher primary school on April 29, Tuesday.

The re-polling was ordered after the EVM had developed a technical snag during the polling held on April 17 at polling station, which comes under Byndoor Assembly segment of Shimoga Parliamentary constituency.

The re-polling in the station commenced in the morning and around 30 per cent of voters had exercised their franchise by 11 am.

The booth which has 538 male voters and 629 female voters had registered 74.38 per cent polling in the station on April 17.

The election commission suspended four election officials, who committed the mistake.

Re polling is being held in 12 polling stations spread across nine Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka including Tumkur, Haveri, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bidar and Hassan.
