Mangalore, Apr 29: The VHP and Bhajrangdal staged a protest meet in front of the DC office on April 29, Tuesday demanding to withdraw the compensation announced to Kabeer’s family and withdrawal of murder case against ANF cop Naveen Naik.

Addressing the protestors, VHP leader Jagadish Shenava said that the state government has not thought for a while before announcing the amount of Rs 10 lakh compensation to Kabeer’s family before probe into the case was complete.

He also said that the Congress leaders are trying to prove that Kabeer, who was killed by ANF constable, was innocent and this is condemned.

The government which took such a odd decision of arresting the ANF cop and imposing murder charge against him, has demoralized the ANF team.
