Mangalore, April 25: Addressing the media reporters in the press meet held on April 24, Wednesday, senior citizen’s association secretary K.Ramesh Rao said in his speech that Mangalore probas club, vishwas trust for elderly abhaya ashraya, retired bank officers forum, litar sister’s charity, senior citizens from CSI churches will jointly organize a senior’s summer sports and cultural festival at KCES grounds on April 27, Saturday.
A day long festival will start at 9.00 am in the morning and concludes at 5.00 pm in the evening and the programme will be inaugurated by Women and Child Welfare department deputy director A Shakuntala, he added.
Already 100 members have registered their names and on the ground also participants can register their names on the day of festival, he mentioned.
There will 20 outdoor events for senior citizens, including 50 and 200 metres race, marathon run, marathon walk etc, he elaborated.
P.Jagadish Rao, Principal, Sandeep Theophil, Petre Oswald Rodriguez were present in the meet.
