HJV criticized MLA Bava for defending cattle trafficking, demand withdrawal of compensation

Mangalore, April 22: The Congress leaders and Muslim organization criticizing the ANF police for the recent killing of a cattle transporter Kabeer near Shringeri is condemnable, said Satyajith Suratkal, leader of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike.

Addressing the press meet held at Press Club on April 22, Tuesday, Satyajit said that the Mangalore North MLA Moidin Bava is supporting the family of cattle transporter by fighting for the justice and helping them with providing government compensation of Rs 5 lakh, increase doubt of his involvement in the cattle smuggling.

He also said that being MLA of the region Bava was supposed to condemn cattle smuggling, but instead of it, he is protecting the cattle transporters and defending the cattle trafficking.

As per the rules, the cattle are allowed to transport only two cows in a vehicle at a time, but during the shootout, Kabir was carrying 20 cows, which is illegal cattle trafficking. Until the CID probe is complete, government must withdraw the compensation of Rs 5 lakhs to the family of Kabeer , he added.

HJV leaders Kishore, Subhash Padil and Raviraj were present at the press meet.
