Mangalore, Mar 17: A car belonging to a former state minister went out of control and hit an electric pole at Ladyhill here on Monday.
The front portion of the Maruti Ritz car with registration number KA 14 N 1222 was completely damaged, when it lost control and drove on to the footpath and smashed into the electric pole.
The electric pole is dislocated, but no injuries were reported.
Due to the fear of future consequences, occupants have escaped from the spot soon after the accident. It is said that the identities of the occupants are yet to be ascertained.
When enquired, it was shocking to know that the traffic police had no information on the incident.
