Mangalore, Mar 12: The Police have intensified their search for the two men involved in the shootout’ attempt at Bharati Builders & Developers-Promoters office located at Bejai on March 10, Monday.
The Police have interrogated all rowdy sheeters of the city and the CCTV footage is also being analyzed to checked for possible clues to trace the unidentified miscreants.
It is learnt that an unknown youth had handed over to the staff for being handed over to builder, Lokanath G Shetty, who was away from office at that time. But according to some sources, message handed over to the builder was sent by rival underworld fugitive Ravi Poojary.
The police are in search of people who posed death threats actually from outside Karnataka or just spoke in Hindi to confuse the investigation.
It is recalled that many builders from the city including Lokanath Shetty had received threat calls from the underworld about two months ago. Hence, all the builders under the leadership of the local unit of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI), had handed over a memorandum to the city police commissioner seeking probe into case and protection.
City police Commissioner R.Hithendra, said that investigations into the matter is going on.
