Mangalore, Mar 12: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister KS Eshwarappa said that in connection with the recent clashes at Kalladka, DK district in-charge minister B Ramanatha Rai must resign from the post.
Speaking at the press meet held at District BJP office on March 11, Tuesday, he said that Congress has succeeded in creating panic and giving indirect warnings to the opposition through this incident. The convention, which was held for social harmony should have been organized in good manner, but they held it to target Dr Prabakar Bhat.
He criticized police department who have failed to ensure adequate security arrangements, in spite of knowing that Kalladka is a sensitive area. Police also failed to provide proper security to the people and arrested innocents.
The police have even barged into houses in Kalladka and arrested innocents and freed the criminals within half-an-hour. Few of the police personnel’s were even transferred for arresting the miscreants. This is the democracy we have in our country, he said.
Eshwarappa said innocents people’s including coolies and tailors have been arrested and as many as 25 youths have also been booked under IPC Section 307.
Eshwarappa said that, i respect Janardhana Poojary since he is a veteran politician but he should not involve in cheap politics by entering into someone’s personal matter.
District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel were also present.
