Mangalore, April 19: Speaking to media persons in the press meet held at Electoral office-Mangalore south constituency on April 18, Thursday, he said that public response this time is doubled as compared to the election of 2008.
He said that during 2008 election canvas, I had toured almost all the parts of state but this time response was immense and expressed his confidence of thumping victory of the party with huge margins.
With regard to the rebels he said voters know much better than the party’s leaders and workers and people are more wise, educated and shrewd enough to choose their representatives, he quipped.
He further commented that this time after studying minutely about the prospects of the party, party has democratically selected the candidates without any bias and hence there was no question of discrimination meted to any one and treated equally without any prejudice.
With regard to Vasanth Salian, a rebel he said that Salian was given an opportunity to contest seven times, five times he won and served in the capacity as ministerial berth and legislators and two times he lost. Therefore question of cheating here does not arise and Kaup electorates know much about this than anybody else, he said.
