Preaching of Brahmakumaris transforms Dacoit into Peace messenger: Pancham Singh

Mangalore, Feb 24: Former dacoit from Chambal valley, Pancham Singh (90) has set on a mission to spread love and peace among the people of the world.

Speaking at the press meet during his visit to Prajapitha Brahmakumari Ishwariya Seva Kendra in Urva Store, Mangalore on Sunday, February 23 Pancham Singh said that he was heartless when young, but transformed into a gentle person. He also said that peace and love leads us to light, whereas cruelty leads us nowhere.

He also said that His gang was influenced by the thoughts and preaching of Jaya Prakash Narayan, and surrendered to central government headed by Indira Gandhi in 1972, who was facing 250 cases including 100 cases of murder, and awarded death penalty, was converted death sentence into life imprisonment

He also said that volunteers of Brahmakumaris used to visit jails with an effort to bring positive changes among the prisoners, this preaching left a lasting imprint on his mind and made him to transform his past last life to a good human being.

B K Vishweshwari, Head of the local service centre of Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya and B K Suresh, a resident of Chambal area, were present.
