Mangalore, Feb 19: The annual festivities of Sri Mariyamma Temple, Urwa, Boloor was held on Feb 17 and Feb 18.
Thousands of devotees visit the temple on these two days to seek the blessings of the Goddess.
On February 17, Monday various rituals as part of Pratishta Vardhanthi Mahotsava including Kalashabhisheka, Sarvalankara Pooja were held. In the night there was Ranga Pooja, Haalukkisuva Pooja and Maha Pooja was held.
On February 18, Tuesday, the Goddess was specially decorated and there was Darshana Bali, Horagina Bali, Katte Balli, Madesthana and Kanchil Seva among other rituals was held.
As a part of cultural event, Nagaraj Shet Udupi presented devotional music concert. On Feb 22, nemotsava of Sri Malayaraya Daiva will be held at 7 pm.
The temple was decorated with flowers and attractively illuminated to give it a grand festive look.
