Kundapur: Enraged group of four people go on rampage for refusing to play cricket; life threatening on organizers.

Kundapur; Feb 17: A case of beating organizers from backwards and forwards and giving life threatening for refusing to give an opportunity to play cricket and questioned about torn banners put across the ground was reported on Feb 16,Sunday in Manoor village’s Manoor Padukere government high school ground near Kota

Details of an incident:

A cricket match was organized on Feb 15 and 16 on behalf of Vahini Cricketers Padukere under flood light. On Feb 16, Sunday night at 12.15 am accused Prashantha, Pratap Tingalaya, Sudhakara Kundar and Suresh Kundar came forward to tear/destroy the Flex/banners of advertisements put around the ground.

At this stage, when an organizer Manikanta, aged 21 tried to stop the accused from doing so, all the accused started abusing Manikanta using, bad and filthy languages, suddenly creeped into the ground and by plucking wickets hit badly Manikanta and Uday and injured them.It was also reported that they damaged some chairs. Besides they gave them life threatening with dire consequences, if the match is continued. A complaint was given by Manikanta in this regard.

A case was registered in Kota police station in this regard. In the complaint it was said that in retaliation of not allowing Prashanth to play for the team by cricket association, he resorted to this attack and abused with filthy languages in anger.
