Mangalore, Feb 17: Patil Nagalingana Gowda, President of Juvenile Justice Board inaugurated the District unit of Missing Child Bureau at the Deputy Commissioner’s office
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the concerned officials of the department must extend their full attention and support to trace the missing children.
DC AB Ibrahim, there are many cases of rising number of children’s missing cases and expressed hope the Bureau to do the justice in its role.
Addressing the gathered, CWC Chairperson Asha Nayak said that Missing Child Bureau is an initiative of NGOs and they will investigate the matters that have made them to leave their homes. The missing children must be traced so that they will not be sexually exploited.
Bishop of Puttur Diocese Dr Geevarghese Mar Divannasios blessed the event.
Gertrude Veigas, Assistant director of the Department of Women and Child Welfare, Binu Varghese, State Co-ordinator of the Bureau and others were present on the occasion.
