Mangalore, Feb 17: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, distributed a prosthetic hand to Shivaram, a physically challenged at DC office meeting hall on February 17, Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the artificial limb has been manufactured by, a well known company Endolite India at the cost of Rs 2.24 lakhs and the amount of Rs 1.12 lakh has been given to the company and the rest of amount will be paid soon.
Further too the government must make arrangements to distribute such artificial limb to the beneficiaries to lead a life, he added
The prosthetic hand was specially designed with three fingers to enable the physically challenged do their daily chores with ease.
Additional DC K Dayanand and representatives of Endolite were also present on the occasion.
