Mangalore, Feb 14: Tulu film ‘Barke’ produced by the banner of Sri Renuka Chitra was released in city theatres including Central, Cinepolis, Suchitra and Big Cinemas on February 14, Friday.
MCC commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde inaugurated the ceremony of ‘Barke’ by lighting the lamp at Suchitra theatre.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Tulu is a beautiful language and have learned Tulu by watching Tulu comedy plays. He also wished the film to run for more than 100 days in theatres.
Director Bharath Krishna said that he has shot the film titled ‘Barke’ since it has the real story of the area and has been shot in Mannagudda, Sultan Battery, Ullal beach, Hampankatta, Urva Marigudi, Boloor, Gandhinagar, Ladyhill and surrounding areas.
Yajneshwar Barke, actor Nagaraj, Meghana, Balachandra, director Bharath Krishna, cinematographer Muthuraj and others were present.
