Udupi; Feb 14: It was reported on Feb 13, Thursday that a student, studying in 10th standard, a resident of Gundmi Thagginabil near Sasthan in Udupi district entered the house of a woman, when she was alone in the house and happened to be from the neighbor’s house.
According to the sources, incident took place at around 11.00 am on Thursday and when the woman’s husband left for work and she was alone attending her cooking in the kitchen. The boy, who entered the house by jumping the compound wall, tied with nylon rope around her neck and knocked her down. When he tried to bang her head against the ground, she resisted and fought back.In the melee, woman escaped from the clutches of boy.
According to the case filed by the woman in Kota police station when she screamed for help, the boy ran outside the house by jumping the compound wall and escaped.
However due to the timely arrival of police team led by K.R.Naik, Kota police station in-charge, they could succeeded in apprehending the boy and took him to custody.
