Udupi; Jan 29: “Nidambur Beedu Ballala” prashasthi, which was announced to Gundibail Yakshagana Kalakshetra, for its significant and substantial contribution in the field of Yakshagana, was conferred on Jan 28, Tuesday by Aanegudde Shree Vinayaka temple’s trustee Sooryanarayana Upadhyaya during the occasion of Ambalpadi Shree Laxmijanardhana Yakshagana Kala Mandali’s annual day celebration in Ambalpady.
Babu Gowda, president of Gundibail Yakshagana Kalakshetra, which has been rendering Yakshagana art service (Yakshagana Kalaseve) for the past 63 years, has received Rs 10,000 in cash along with medal, which was kept in the name of Ambalpady temple’s trustee Annaji Ballal.
Ambalpady temple’s trustee Dr.Nee.Bee.Vijaya Ballal welcomed the guests.
Indrali Jayakara Shetty, prime organizer of Badagabettu credit co-operative society presented as chief guest.Keshavamurthy, secretary of Kalakshetra thanked for conferring Prashashti for the organization.
