Karkala; Jan 09: Dr.Vasanth, Kaltur Ayush village medical officer expressed his opinion that from the usage of medicinal plants available in our surrounding areas, many of the diseases can be cured.
Participating in the ‘Home-medicine information’ programme organized in Pademata scheduled caste colony in Kaltur panchayat jurisdiction, he was delivering a information about the usage of home medicines. By the usage of the plants, which are available in the vicinity of our houses like Amrathaballi, ginger, Aadusoge, Dasavala, drumstick, turmeric etc most of the diseases can be cured, he explained in detail.
Smt.Rajani.A.Shetty, president, 38, Kaltur Panchayat has presided over the function.Panchayat employee Susheela and scheduled caste senior lady smt.Akku were present on the stage.
The programme was jointly organized by government’s Ayush department and Dharmasthala Shantivana trust. After the programme,health check-up of the most of the communities have been conducted and distributed medicines.
